Overdrive 700

My overdrive M46 Manual transmission engages fine in warm whether. However, as temperature starts to drop it does not engage (the overdrive light does not light-up) until the car runs for awhile and then it engages.

I suppose it could be the relay, the solenoid, or the pump in the overdrive unit.

I would appreciate any advice from anyone with experience trouble-shooting overdrives for M46 manual transmissions.
