I removed the mufflers on my 960 yesterday. I used a sawzall to cut the pipe between the front muffler and the rear suspension. I couldn't bend the remaining pipe (still attached to the rear muffler) around the suspension so I had to try and separate the two pipes where they go over the suspension (I was trying to salvage the rear muffler). I couldn't get the sawzall through the multilink and to the pipe so I thought I'd try taking the clamp off. I was able to remove the nut & bolt from the Volvo clamp without breaking it (that was amazing!) and with a little wiggling I was able to separate the 2 pipes. I don't think I've EVER had that happen before. Now I have 2 questions: 1. If I use anti-seize on the new pipes, will I be able to separate them again this easily? 2. Will using another Volvo clamp help with later disassembly? Thanks.
