so.. yesterday morning, my trusty 164 ('71, strombergs) fired right up as usual.. then sputtered out and wouldn't restart. I figured it fouled plugs, it having gotten down to below zero the night before.
Come home later in the day, it starts right up, sputters out and died. Wouldn't fire up. I investigated, found no fuel in the line. I blew through the lines.. no clogs. Sucked fuel to the pump, put together... started fine and I drove to a gathering and back with no problems.
This morning... starts right up, sputters and dies. No fuel. So, I pulled a known good pump from a donor 145, put it in..
No fuel...
Plenty of gas in the tank, no line obstructions. I didn't check all the lines for leaks, but I don't think there are any...
Am I missing something dumb? Like.. that maybe a B20 pump won't work on a B30? I didn't check the lever arm length, but I always thought they were identical...
Or is my hunch that my 'known good' pump has gone south for the winter in the past two months since I last ran that donor car...
