Acceleration Problem 200 1983

My 1983 240 DL has an acceleration problem. When the car is first started it is much worse and gradually gets a bit better as she warms up. When accelerating from a dead stop the car takes off VERY slowly. Even if I floor the pedal it takes it's sweet time accelerating and once I reach about 20mph all is normal. At highway speeds acceleration is fine.

Any ideas?
