Hello everyone! My '93 944 Turbo has an oil leak which seems to be coming from the oil fill cap. The cap and seal have recently been replaced. I read (on this forum) that a clogged PCV will cause excess oil pressure and cause leaks, and a test was suggested to place a hand over the open oil fill orifice and feel for vacuum. I did this and not only was there no vacuum, but the engine was blowing air through this hole. I also got hot motor oil on my hand, as this blown air carries oil with it, which I assume is the culprit for my leak. About 3 months ago, my dealer charged me steeply for what I can translate, based on their description, to be a flametrap cleanup. Did they leave something uncleaned? Where exactly is the PCV system on a Turbo? Some people claim that Turbos do not have flametraps... Is something wrong with my engine, or is it supposed to be blowing air through the oil fill opening? Thanks for your input!
