Q: How can I tell if the 3 & 9 O'clock wheel test is the inner/outer rods or Bearings? 200 1989

Q: How can I tell if the 3 & 9 O'clock wheel test is the inner/outer rods or Bearings, heck, even something else in the steering?

... I got too much play on the drivers side wheel when I do the grab the wheel at 3 & 9 O'clock and push-pull in and out. There is some play on the passengers side but it is minimal and might be within allowable tolerances of play.

thanks all,
diyer
