I've been driving a Volvo for all of my driving life (which is less than 10 years) and I love my Volvo wagon! However lately I've been having problems with it. Lately it has had some poor acceleration problems where it suddenly feels like I'm towing another car behind me. When this happens, there is a little white smoke coming out of that exhaust. Also, on occasion, as I pull up to a stop, the idle gets a little rough and then the car dies. I does start back up but these aren't good things! I took it to an import specialist and he ran the normal diagnostics and came back with nothing. He says that there were no computers, the ignition system, cap rotors, and wires were fine, as was the turbo vac valve, oil and coolant with no noted contamination. So I had to pay for an hour of work with no answers. He even drove the car and it wouldn't misbehave for him.
