fuel gauge sending unit 120-130

hi all,

my fuel gauge is kinda going out. seems accurate until about 3/4 of a tank, then drops rapidly after that. and when it shows about 1/4 of a tank, i can only put about 5 gallons in it. is there any way to repair the sending unit, or should i just get a new one from ipd?
