93' 940 new front boge shocks- is $300 a fair price installed 900

the volvo dr. today suggested the only thing my 940 really needs are new front shocks. he said most likely 300 for parts and labor.

I am semi handy but dont feel like trying to instal something that needs to be compressed.

Is boge one of the better brands?

should I have poly bushings or anything else done while I am going this far or stick with what the dr ordered? I expect an alignment also. so I figure 400'sh by the time tax and such.
