Man,
This car just puzzles me. 1990 740 Rex/Regina. I have been trying to track down/correct a cold start problem for months. Right now, the car starts, but runs like it's missing on one cylinder for about a minute or 2, at which point it starts to run fine. I have eliminated all vacuum leaks, replaced the plugs, plug wires, coil, coil pack, distributor cap, rotor, fuel pump relay, swapped the radio suppression relay, installed remanufactured fuel injectors, air filter, replaced idle control valve, cleaned throttle body...
The car runs great once the first 2 minutes passes and I'm getting about 17 mpg in city stop-n-go driving, which isn't terrible. It's just that first 2 minutes.
What's left? Crank sensor? Why would it make only 1 cylinder misfire? Temperature sensor? Again, why only one cylinder?
Arrggggggggh..... :(
