It Still cuts out 200 1980

I had a problem that I posted previously about my car cutting out. I thought I had fixed it with the relay. However that was not it. It cut out today and would not start. I ended up jumping from fuse 8 to the in-tank-pump fuse and it started. Does this mean that the relay is still bad? Does the in tank pump get power from the relay? I'm assuming it does and that getting a new relay will solve the problem.
