I'm in the process of fitting 16" or 17" wheels to my 1965 1800. Has any tried fitting a 16" / 17" size wheel with a 7 or 7.5 J width and a 35 to 40mm positive offset?

I'm sure a 17" rim (7.5J) with a 38mm offset could work... but i'm not sure if this will have serious effects on the car?

Any advice?
