Stereo access code 200 1987

I have posted this same concern previously and would like to seek assistance from other fellow bricksters. I purchased from ebay a Volvo OE stereo system with amplifier (Stereo Model: 1398464-1, Stereo Serial No. V01510C3304482E) from Volvo Recycled Relics that came from a donor 240 vehicle. Unfortunately, it did not come with the the access code. The stereo was sent to the Philippines to be installed in my 240. I have requested a friend from the US to call a Volvo dealer in California to explain the transaction and volunteer the serial numbers. Much to our dissappointment, the Volvo dealer advised my friend to bring in the vehicle (despite of informing the Volvo personnel that the stereo system was sent to the Philippines) where the stereo is to be installed, show the pink slip, etc. I was advised in the BB forum to look for a "friendly" Volvo dealer who can access the code. Another BB forum member commented that he had the same problem and simply called a Volvo dealer and the code was given to him a few minutes after.

Likewise, I have advised the dealer/distributor here in the Philippines regarding my concern and has bene running on for almost 3 months now. I was advised that it will take them sometime before Sweden can give them the access code/approval.

Can anyone help me on this?
