Won't start 700

Hello everyone,

I just ran into a new problem this morning withmy '88 740 GLE. When I got into it to go to work it started right up, as it has everyday without any problem. However, this morning after I started it it ran for about 5 seconds and then died, and I haven't been able to start it since. The battery, and cables, were pretty shabby looking, so I replaced them today. After replacing them the car tried to start once, to no avail, and now I'm back at square one. The engine turns like it wants to start, bit that's all it does. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
