Last time I got caught in a major storm in a 122S, it was in the summer of 2005 and I had no labels on my heater controls. All the windows in my wagon fogged up and I had to pull off several times and furiously wiped the windshield.
I thought this was just that I was unfamilar with the controls, but the same thing happened in my 68 Sedan during a fairly intense rainstorm. The ENTIRE car fogged up and I could see nothing. Furious windshield wiping rewarded me with only a brief few seconds of visibility.
This was with the defrost wide open and the heater on full. The car was completely warmed up and I was almost home. I don't get it. This car is designed for Sweden, why is the defogger so lousy?
Is there anything I can do to improve the defogger? Will opening up the vent slots (more) below the window help? Can anything else be done?
This is downright dangerous
