Hmmm... coincedence? Vacuum leak 700 1987

Hi guys and gals,

I was out doing some transmission stuff in the yard to my 740GLE, and I decided to replace my funky (original to the car, maybe?) flame trap hoses with the replacements I got from FCP Groton the other day. As I pulled the flame trap, I found it was funky too (and only 3 months old), and replaced it too. Didn't have time to do the breather box today, but it's on the list for this coming week.

I used a length of FCP's 'braided' vacuum hose as a replacement for the tiny hose off the flame trap. It seems a little loose to me, so... is this the right hose for this application?

Pulling the car back into my driveway, I noticed that I got no boost from my brakes!

So, after the car cools down a bit, I'm going to poke around and try to see where the leak is. Did I use the wrong vacuum hose on the flame trap?

Thanks,

Ari
