It is with great sorrow that I say goodbye to all of you on this marvelous board.
I have enjoyed reading your threads, picking up great information about maintenance and repair, and occasionally dishing out some advice.
I have accepted a too low offer (1,900 USD) for my "totaled" 1993 944T from the insurance company. This is what happens when you mhit two deer at 75mph on the highway. The car is running great with only 211,000 miles on it and all the repairs and maintenance I put in over the last 4 years. It is sad to see her going, but I was told I could not keep her by the "boss" and it is more important to keep her happy. She quite often complained that I was spending money on such an old car but lately we drove it more than any of the other cars in our fleet.
The junker that picked up my car will have a gem especially if they are able to get some used sheet metal and lights they will have a car that will go for at least another 30 miles B-4 having to put money into it, as it has new fuel pumps, FPR, new master cylinder, new rotors and calipers, decent tires, new plugs, rotor, and cap, etc.
It would be a shame to part it out. She is gone now they picked her up and drove her onto the flatbed.
I might be back in the future if running across a Volvo deal I can't let go by and maybe look at the threads when lonely and bored, but until then, thank you all for the help and information you have extended and making my 944T ownership easier and less expensive.
