Coolant Leak 700 1991

Found a coolant leak this morning. Was hissing out from under the intake manifold in a little cloud. However, so far there is **NO** evidence of a head gasket leak. But there is evidence of leakage around the front of the two temp sensors. A ring of rust on the flat land around the hole it screws into, and a trail of rust on the area above it, where the water vapor would shoot out and it.

So, since I did not find anytthing about the sensor or the threads for it leaking in the FAQ, is it possible? It looks like brass, should I just reinstall it with new teflon tape and retorque it, or replace it? Could it be due to a stuck thermostat (which is getting replaced today anyway)?

Also, I use the "correct-according-to-Volvo" pressure cap on this car, a turbo, but I have always been worried about the amount of pressure that it allows to build in the cooling system. Is it **REALLY** safe to switch to a lower pressure cap?

Please, Please, Please get back to me today on this, someone who knows, as the other two cars in my sig. are no more, and the Volvo is the only car I have. And I have to get it running this weekend.
