hello..............i have a 1991 740 w/ 230,000 miles on it. My a/c is not working. I beleive the problem to be my dash switch. i say this because it worked once this season, and has not come back on. i don't have alot of money to spend, and am wondering, is it possible to hook the compressor up to a toggle switch & run the unit as positive on? i have seen the dash switch assemblies on e-bay from 50 t0 100 dollars,but simply can't afford to take a chance on a used one working. thank you in advance. sweating buckets here in teXas...............
