What do the outboard half shaft bearings generally sound like when they are going bad? I hear some noise coming from the rear end of my 122 on the road. It's hard to describe. Not loud. It could even be described as tire noise.

Also, since I have a noisy transmission, I wonder it the sound is being transmitted to that area.

I've got two homemade drum pullers, so I was going to pull and grease the bearings sometime.
