air bag cover 200 1993

240 wagon - unknown history prior to buying off ebay 1 1/2 years ago.

Black steering wheel was bending (sounds strange, but true) on the top portion, perhaps from sunlight/heat etc., and replaced steering wheel w/ mechanic - airbag and cover in center was not included on the replacement part, so "original" part was put back after newer used steering put in place.

Center of steering wheel depresses for using horn, and also has embossed "SRS" on the black vinyl - had some cracks, and now they've gone through to the air bag so you can actually see and if you wanted to, touch the folded air bag.

First, due to instr cluster light issues, etc., I don't know if the air bag still works, besides it's age of 15 years. For cosmetic reasons, and in case the air bag is still operable, I want a new cover.

1. Where can I find a new, used reasonable $ cover?
2. What is involved in replacing the cover as it seems I'd be exposing the bag. Is this a major Volvo expert repair? etc.
