My '87 Volvo 240 Wagon is extremely unreliable due to what seems like intermittent spark. Here's what I've checked:

1. cap, rotor, plug wires
2. coil

What else should I check? it seems strange that at times it will start and run fine, but others it will not start at all. Any ideas?
