Keeping the inside cool of a 122 120-130 1970

Hi all,

I am from sunny, hot South Africa and need some advice from you brickboarders.
I am currently trying to restore my dads old 1970 122s sedan; a car that he has had from the 70's.
I enjoy the task of repairing/restoring the car where i can but i have one major problem and that it is VERY uncomfortable driving the car in the heat.
The std blower isn't very effective and blows hot air in the day especially when faced with a bit of bumper to bumper traffic.

Is there any way of installing an aircon to this model?
Even if it means me having to import a unit of some sort to fit to the car, there must be an elegant way of making the driving experience a bit more rewarding.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thanks
