Alright first with some background:
1983 Volvo 245 turbo
NOTE: One of the Previous Owners did an auto to manual conversion on this Car
I just bought this car and the clutch was slipping really bad (couldn't hold power above 2k-2.5k RPM's). The pedal had nothing to it, only the last 2-3 inches in the swing disengaged/engaged the clutch. Anyways I bought the car thinking I would just have to do a clutch job, no big deal.
Clutch Cable, The cable was almost completely tightened and there was still slack in it.
So I fugure must be a bad clutch and start to tear out the tranny, and what do i find?
recently resurfaced flywheel and a good looking clutch and pressure plate.
So where has this gone bad? Do i need a different throw-out bearing?
Or a different arm?
The clutch slipping should only have to do with the clutch and pp right? what abuot the pedal?
What am I missing here? Thanks in advance for all the help.
