Hello all,
I just filled up my 1994 Turbo wagon with 92 octane fuel today (for a $1.64/gal I might add) and started to drive home...
Well once I got a few miles down the road it started to run with very low power under boost, and it made a popping sound. Kinda like a backfire? When it made the popping sound the boost gauge on the dash responded by quickly showing less boost, then it would jump back up.
It does not really feel like it is missing on a cylinder or two, it just feels constricted on power.
While driving in a non boosted condition it runs smooth and nice.
I did a visual check under the hood and nothing appears to the naked eye as out of order. All the hoses from the intake/turbo/intercooler look to be OK...
It is raining/cold outside - we have freezing rain right now.
