Which Rear End? B230/M46 200

I've got an '85 with a B230/M46 and currently a 3.73 from the pre-M46 days (AW71). Would I be better to go with the original 3.31 rear end or a 3.54? My goal is not performance (or I would keep the 3.73), but rather easy to drive around town and keep my RPMs down on the highway, and doesn't have a super low first gear :)
