Parking tickets ruin lives 120-130

Hello All,

I am posting this so that just in case there is someone who can benefit from my experience. My 122 was booted at 3:15 pm on Tuesday here in Philadelphia.

My good neighbor gave me a ring after he came across the parking authority poking about my car... He inquired what they where doing, and it turns out they where trying to match my car with photos in their system so they could boot it and until I cleared my fines. when I got home almost four hours later they where still there? I know I have four or five parking tickets, I wasn't worried- I would go down in the morning and pay the fine and have my brick free again...

Not the case- I had $3,500 in tickets.I was a "heavy hitter" as they put it. I was told not to appear in court as they would arrest me for being a scofflaw.
I asked myself how could I save myself from this situation?

How could one amass such a hefty fine and be unaware of it? I never got one single notice? Well it turns out being a nice guy makes you stupid and gets you Volvo in the car jail.

i sold my mustang some years ago to a guy from Jersey who need to drive the car home because he had an emergency at home. Well I let him take my tags- he promised to cut them when he got home... You guessed it- NEVER HAPPENED!

So know I have a shot window to save my car- they won't sell people here want cars they can get parts for, says the tow guy... So what will they do crush it.

I can't buy it back, they can't sell it, and I don't have $4k... wish me luck folks- lesson learned 1 never doubt you better judgment, always pay those tickets.

wish me luck and keep on rolling!

Cheers,
