1983 242 DL wagon ignition coil issue?

No spark at the main wire going to the distributor leads me to believe that the current no start issue is problem with the ignition coil. It happened on a cold mornin, started and died after 3 seconds. Will no start scince. I replaced the cap and rotor in the distributor, as well a new set of spark plugs. My question is am I headed in the right direction...AND does anyone have a spare used coil for this model vehical in working condition?! This is a desperate situation as funds from no transportation to work are cutting into an already limited budget. Thanks so much in ya'lls time in considering. Take care and be well.
