Is there a trick to keeping SU Float Bowls from leaking? 120-130 1966

Long story short, I've had to replace the gasket on one of the float bowls on my SU carbs because it keeps allowing fuel to "boil over".

I've done this twice now and it still happens. Before I replace the gasket again, I wanted to know if there were any tricks to keeping this from happening.

What am I doing wrong here?
