I want to hang some curtains inside my 245 and was figuring I'd just drill 4 small holes for some sheet metal screws, then attach cord between them (per side) so as to have a curtain going along the side of the car. Pretty cool, right? Except drilling through sheet metal is pretty tough, and its reluctance to be pierced makes me wonder if this is a bad idea? Should I just use those hooks which you glue to walls in order to hang pictures (and then somehow get the cable around that)?
And is the segment of frame between the front and rear doors, up by the roof/headliner, made of steel, just behind the plastic plate which is beneath the seatbelt attachment? Or if I drilled into the plastic I'd hit a wide vacuous gap before reaching more steel?
A previous poster once suggested using magnets but I'm less into that for the top portion as I want something strong and sturdy.
Ideas?
THANK YOU!!!
