reinstalling bumper trim 200 1987

I'm driving along and a piece of trim flips up on to the hood. The trim piece between the bumper and the chrome strip under the headlights has come loose. I cannot see how it was held on originally. I kind of like 'a place for everything and everything in it's place', but is this a job for weatherstrip adhesive ?
