940 overdrive bypass kit question - AW72 compatible? 900

Any one know if the overdrive bypass kit sold by IPD (and mentioned in the faq here ) can work with a AW72 transmission in my 1995 940 ? I called them and the phone guy seemed unsure. Any reason why, logically, it would not work? Does the 70-71-72 all use the same solenoid and would that be a clue?
