Calculating gas mileage.....

How are folks deciding when the gas tank is "full". I just kind of keep pumping until it "seems" completely full, but I'm not really sure when that occurs. I think I overfill it. But then the gas gauge never really gets buried into the "full" side like on new cars.

I just want to be somewhat accurate on how many gallons of petrol Lily is drinking per mile.

Thoughts?
