put in a new Kenwood unit from Crutchfield.. 2 problems:
1) am/fm antenna plug is not cutting it.. no AM stations are coming in.. just static.. a friend with another 940 also has been living with no AM since his aftermarket radio installion.. hear clicking and a change in the static when I connect/disconnect plug.
2) front speakers worked only for a short time.. I noticed heat to the touch on the back of the radio til I disconnected front speaker wires coming from the new plug that bypassed the old amplifier by drivers left knee.. both left and right front.. radio tests ok..
any guidance appreciated..
