Anyone ever do this? I was just talking to the local pick & pull & he told me someone pulled the entire heater box out of a 740 in 30 minutes.
I have changed the heater core on a 740 & 940 both 1991. The 1st was 15hrs & the second was 10hrs. Ugly job.
I have to do another. Coolant was always < 100mV, core is soldered & all metal. Four Seasons I believe changed in 2004. I don't trust the plastic tank Nissens.
This one has a big leak. Won't hold 12 psi cold & the floor carpet is wet. The funny thing is there is no anti-freeze mist on the windshield.
I think I have a problem w/ the recirc/fresh damper/motor also. I'll find out when it's apart.
Any light you can shed on the entire heater box removal would be extremely welcome. In fact if you ever visit my neck of the woods in Ottawa, Canada I'll treat you to some very good Quebec beer that is as good as what I've had in Belgium.
cheers ian
