Mystery stalling issue 200 1985

The car stalls and will not re-fire usually after I’ll drive and shut it down for a short period of time. Its does seem that it is running a little rich, it makes nice power and the fuel mileage I think is kinda poor. The first thing I want to do is put a fuel gauge on it and go from there any insight would be apreacated. Thanks
