How do you take off the timing belt splash guard 900

OK, so I got my Volvo ripped apart--and it has been great fun. I love messing with cars. One question:

--How do I get the timing belt splash guard off? I've got the car jacked up. I can see to screws on the drivers side. is that what I should take off? On the net people were taking about 'clips'. Does anyone know what there talking about??
