Break squeal cause - missing retainer spring 700

If you are looking for a cause for squeal from breaks, you might have a missing retainer spring on one of the front pads. I just replaced my pads and hadn't been able to find a reason for the squeal, until I found one of the springs was missing - one of the retainer rivets broke or wore apart.

This is on a 90 740 Ti with ABS.
