avoiding busted exhaust studs. 900 1994

I heard you loud and clear...Head's coming off...right now .sort of...
I need to drive it one more time to my real mechanic (30 minutes away) for overall evaluation of the issues. But the car's been sitting all week soaking in blaster and the exhaust nuts seem to have grown malleable.

There is already one busted on # 4 from the PO so I thought this was going to be a bear. So far the first nut cracked very easily.

Is there any down side of taking the time today to carefully crack and remove each exhaust nut and putting new ones on w/ anti seize... one at a time, then driving to the shop? This shouldn't crack the gasket and I want to know how many studs the machine shop is going to be drilling out now. I'm already considering a mail order complete head.

Thanks.
Charles
