Overdrive bypass works! 700 1989

After nearly 3 months since picking up my "new" 1989 745, and driving it home with no overdrive, I finally installed the IPD bypass kit. Took only half an hour, and the difference is like night and day. And here I thought the car was noisy! Now fourth gear kicks in between 40 and 45 mph, and kicks down properly on heavy throttle pressure.
