what will the new obama emission law do to our 240 and 740s?

Have hearing a lot on the radio about the adoption of the CA emission and gas economy law onto the federal level. Could not help to wonder what that will affect us, or just new cars. Could they possibly force us to surinder our bricks for let's say $1000? Or, will they leave us alone as they do to all other antique cars and allow us to still use them as daily drivers? What's your thoughts on this? Erwin
