Hello everybody, new poster,
My car never had any problems running after it was started. A couple times it didn't want to start right up on a cold start It acted like the engine got flooded. Then one day it refused to start altogether.
There is no spark coming from the coil. I checked the timing belt and replaced the rpm sensor. Coil ohms are up to specs and there is voltage coming to both sides when the key is in the on position. I tried to check for pulsating voltage on the 1 terminal during crank, but my voltmeter couldn't really tell if it was pulsating or not. The voltage was dropping to about 10.5 but that might have been due to the load from the starter. Is there a good way to check the ignition amplifier or does anybody have any other ideas? I did clean the terminals between the amplifier and the coil.
