Speedometer sensor in rear 700 1992

1. Is the item this is hidden behind called the panhard rod, and will that be out-of-the-way once I jack the car?
2. My wire to this is shot. Which wire goes to which side of this sensor? Looks like I am working on a bad repair attempt by the P.O.
3. What type of screw holds this in? What tool will I need?
