AC Help please 200

Hi

I have a 92 240 that had been retro fitted to R134a. A few years ago after rebuilding the engine, i vacuumed out the AC & put a charge in it & it worked wonderfully. I didn't play with the oil mixture or amount but it seemed to work great.. Only thing, i think i could have done to disrupt this, is i did put on a new tropical fan clutch this winter when i replaced the water pump. But i would think that would help the efficiency of it...

Anyways this year i started having problems. I noticed the lower line (Steel one) that goes from the condenser to the lower evaporator, had frost covering it, after i turned it on.. the entire line was as white as a sheet of paper like it was frozen or something. Anyways has anybody have ever experienced this? Is my evaporator clogged? What am i missing?

Any & all help would be appericated... Thanks
