89 240 died, no restart 200 1989

The other day when parking my 240, it stalled. It was difficult to restart and the idle varied up and down while the check engine light blinked on and off. I immediately took the car home (about a mile) and swapped it for my 940.

Now I am attempting to figure out whats up with the old girl. Here is what I know and have tried. At this point, I am looking for suggestions as to where to look next.

After sitting for a day, the car started and ran for a few seconds at idle. It would not restart.

I tried a new fuel pump relay- no improvement.

The car has spark.

I installed my fuel pressure gauge and got no pressure when cranking the engine.

Fuses 4 and 6 are good.

Jumped fuses 6 & 4 and the main pump could be heard running. Fuel pressure rose to 42 psi.

Car started and ran for a few seconds (badly) and then stopped.

Plugs were dry.

25 amp fuse has been retrofitted and appears good. Jumping the fuse didn't help.

No codes were obtainable. In fact, the test function didn't work and the led did not blink at all with the probe in #2

The CPS was replaced at 207K in 9-94. Current mileage is 276,500.

From Bentlys and reading posts here, it appears that the FI system is not getting power. The question is why? The fact that it ran for a few seconds makes me think the injectors must be leaking a bit as well.

Thoughts gentlemen? This is a great running car and deserves fixing.

Thanks

Zimm
