starting problems 200 1984

I have 84 242 with a manual tranny with overdrive. I had normal wiring harness rot and replaced with an ebay harness. The car will now start and run when cold, but when warmed up it will only start if you pull the fuel pump relay, start the car and replace the fuel pump relay. Once started, it runs and drive normally. Any ideas on what to check? Thanks in advance.
