Hi, I'm new here, but not new to Volvos. I've had a handful of them, ending in my current 06 V70. My question has to do with my mother's 88 760GLE, which is sitting unused in her garage. I know very little about this generation, having owned only the 5-cyl./FWD cars.

It's a gunmetal/maroon wagon, 130K, in fair condition. Seems to pull strong, but has had a few electrical gremlins. Body and interior are worn appropriately for their age. No accidents or other major damage. No mechanical problems other than a recently replaced starter. This is a 2-owner car, having been purchased as a CPO by my mom from a Volvo dealer when it was about 2-3 years old. Most maintenance has been documented.

She's thinking about selling the car, and getting values ranging from $3K to $20K. Perhaps a few here can suggest some realistic expectations, plus what buyers/sellers should look for in this year/model?
