Rear Seat Handle 200 1988

I repaired my 1988 Rear Seat handle, the one that lets the seat fold down today. Several weeks ago I pulled it and the handle broke.

I got a part from the local pull a part. The donor car was a 1992 760 wagon and a 1994 940 wagon. The outside trim piece pops up and reveals two screws. I removed the two screws and was able to release the cables. The lever and cable parts were nothing like the 245 but the handle and part the handle mounts to were identical. I was able to get a tan one that matched and a black one that would have worked too.

I am amazed at the variations of this handle from model year to model year.

I just wanted you all to know that 700 and 900 handles can be used to repair at least a 1988 model.
