Idle Air Control Valve--confirming air flow 200 1987

Howdy,

I've got a 1987 245 with LH 2.2 and I just need some confirmation on the Idle Air Control Valve air flow direction... I know the valve has a little arrow on it, but it's not totally obvious which way the air should flow. I am assuming the intake side draws from the rubber hose that connects to the air intake "accordion" tube BEFORE the throttle body, and the output side sends air to the rubber hose that connects to the intake manifold AFTER the throttle body. Can someone confirm this?

I just replaced the wiring harness (Dave Barton, thanks), put in a new 554 computer (replacing 544) and the idle is very high--sitting at 2000 rpm, even with the adjust screw on the throttle body turned fully closed. I'm thinking the throttle position switch might need to be adjusted.

Hope to hear from someone on this issue.
