Daughter's 88 240 just decided to not start. It acks like it wants to go but smells flooded. B230F engine. Would a failed oxy sensor cause this? It almost catches but then seems to almost backfire( the engine feels like it fires too early) and then after ten seconde it will do this over again. Also notice thet the speedo needle jumps intermitantly during craning.

What are the symptoms of an oxy sensor failure?
